Some of this work began on a stage.
Some of it began in a waiting room.
Some of it began in the quiet places where I was trying to make sense of what had happened, what was changing, and who I was becoming.
These books are part of that work.
They are not separate from the conversations I have now about voice, identity, diagnosis, adversity, self-trust, and the space between knowing something has changed and learning how to live from that truth.

Everyone loves the big brave moment.
The leap. The decision.
The part where you finally do the thing.
But most of life happens before that.
In the hesitation. In the fear.
In the old story that still has a grip on you.
In the space between knowing something needs to change and being ready to move.
The Work In Between is about that space - and the quiet, uncomfortable practice of becoming someone you can trust.
We Choose To Be More Than Our Diagnosis
A diagnosis has a way of entering the room before you do.
It changes conversations.
It changes how people look at you.
It changes what they assume about your body, your future, your strength, your limits.
And if you are not careful, it can start to feel like the whole story.
But it isn’t.
We Choose To Be More Than Our Diagnosis is about refusing to be reduced to the hardest thing you have carried.
It is about remembering that you are still a whole person, with a voice, a life, a history, a future, and more truth than any single label can hold.

Peace does not always arrive in some grand, cinematic moment.
Sometimes it starts in the backyard.
In the place you pass every day.
In the small patch of life you almost stopped noticing.
In the ordinary space that quietly asks you to slow down, look again, and remember you are still here.
The Backyard Peace Project is about finding steadiness close to home.
Not by escaping your life.
By paying attention to it.
